when was the last time you changed your mind ?

When was the last time you changed your mind on something you were emotionally invested in to believe ?

When was the last time you changed your mind on something you had to challenge your own biases on ?

When was the last time someone you didn't like changed your mind on a topic ?

People like to believe they are capable of objective thought and many are not .

I'd like to think a swinging crowd may be a little more open minded than a general population sample but that may be my own bias also dictating that narrative in my head.

I used to believe all smack heads were irredeemable wasters and were better off staying clear of until I met an addict at work who was one of the loveliest people I ever met, sadly the smack got him in the end RIP. But I stay open minded now with people struggling with addiction.

An open mind sexually doesn't mean having the intelligence to confront alleged personal biases and change old programming.

Sorry O.P. but in my experience a swinging crowd are after sex not an hour of critical analysis of their own prejudices and bias....

Pssssst. I used to think only the open minded would swing.... turns out they are hormone driven to a huge extent

Leeds (Home) / Sheffield (Work)

Because of my work I have to challenge my biases everyday in an unstructured way, and every week in structured supervision. That’s only the biases at work though. I am sometimes too drained after work to reflective and question myself regularly.

I don't change my mind as per se, its more that it evolves to be more tolerable, so they are not all twats, only some are

I can't answer the questions to be fair. There are too many elements to each.

I'll go for number 1. I used to believe that people would do the right thing. Over the years I learned that there are no absolutes.

That's a great awareness of yourself and fair play challenging your own thoughts. It's another great example ! Something I like about the women's game is I think it tends to be more honest than the men's .

As for the quality , hard to match the mens but as a qualifier there is a hell of a lot of investment and a lot more men play the game. Proportionally speaking , it's fantastic and the games I have watched I have enjoyed .

Your analysis of lack of ball bag has me in stitches laughing !

I am a stubborn old goat and it is hard for me to change my mind on anything once I have an opinion. However, I am always happy to hear the opinion of others, even if it is not aligned with my own without judgement and am always open to being persuaded by a well thought out and researched defence of position that has not been gleaned for the Sunday sport, QAnon or Wikipedia. Last time I changed my mind on anything was a political thing in a Scottish election when I was persuaded to vote for Alex Salmond, not because he was a SNP member of parliament and I am not naturally inclined to vote that way, but because of his record as an MP for his constituency regardless of his constituents political beliefs
