Eastbourne (she/they)

Following rigorous analysis and quality control, the Met Office has verified the new all-time maximum temperature records set last week.

UK & England: 40.3°C (Coningsby, Lincolnshire)

Wale: 37.1°C (Hawarden, Clwyd)

Scotland 34.8°C (Charterhall, Scottish Borders)

The 35.1C reported at Floors Castle in Scotland has been rejected, as the site set-up was not compliant with observing standards.

Worthing

That hot day (it was 35c in garden where I was) was the first time in years I thought "too hot" when going outside to take a coffee break. I came in!

Lincoln

I really enjoyed it during the day (I was sunbathing in our garden), but trying to sleep that night was impossible. I still can't believe that us folks in Lincolnshire had the hottest weather in the country
