Meddling Scientists say they are on the verge of a cure for baldness. Tom is not sure that it is an illness. It's just life.
Its like saying that they will cure sexualities soon. One step closer to dangerous connations. It's all over the news |

I don't have much hair and that's ok, it is what it is.
I do however, find that scientists deciding I need a cure for it quite, (I was going to write annoying but think I will go for) twattish.
Maybe they could work on a cure for that?

"And women.
I feel like this doesn’t get talked about enough as a problem"
My ex started to lose her hair through stress.
She was absolutely devastated.
While not belittling the impact of hair loss in men, it must be traumatic for women.

" One step closer to dangerous connations.
Please could you give an example"
One conquering nation that did not rule for a 1000 years saw the goal of having blonde hair and blue eyes ..
These crazy scientists know few limits and care even less .. |

To be fair, it might not be for you...
There are many people who go bald at a very young age, sometimes before they've even left school. There are also women who lose their hair, who MAY be really interested in a cure...

Of course Tom understands that alopecia and sudden dramatic hair loss may cause great emotional trauma. The report was talking about male pattern baldness ..
And he agrees, it must be horrible for women. |

That is a fair point Cal and I do concede it.
Its just a shame that people feel they need to make themselves look different because our society/culture tells them that they should, to be more acceptable.
The expression of it being a cure is what gets me. Is a face-lift a cure or a boob job? For most people, no.
I'm sure there are many here, myself included who would like to look a little different, but the way we look isn't an illness that needs to be cured, and if we're told it does that only adds to our insecurities. I wish I could explain it better... |
