Picture edit - when is enough
Jump to: Newest in thread
An interesting topic that’s sure to bring heated debate
Just checking hot pics and there’s clearly a doctored picture in the top 10. Blurred background in an attempt to hide the use of the smudge tool in photoshop to make hips/bum bigger and waist smaller.
By allowing that kinda stuff on the site, both in people fabbing it, and the admins not removing it, we are allowing heavily edited pictures on the site. This is clearly catfishing
So to you I ask, how much is too much?
A little smudge tool is ok?
What about filters? Extreme angles?
Where do you draw the line between showing your best pics and showing your most realistic pics |

I don't mind the odd filter but I think altering an image so much that it's no longer true to the subject (i.e. alters body shape) is a bit far.
In this day and age filters and flattering angles are par for the course, I mess about with my pictures but like to think you can obviously see what's what.
I don't begrudge anyone posting what they want. After all it is their profile, their right.
Although I do think of you do it and it has a knock on effect with meets (a sort of catfish scenario) then you are only doing yourself a disservice. But at the same time it may just be what that person is comfortable posting.
Personally, if I see something like that I'll scroll on & find someone else to get rejected by |

What you see is what you get will my pics as have no idea how to use these tools. Be quite nice though to see what I would look like with bigger boobs and a smaller waistline. |

Personally I don't use filters except for maybe black and white. I do use good lighting, good angles and position myself in flattering positions. We all protray the best parts of ourselves especially on websites like this but when you change yourself completely that's where it's wrong.
The whole world is filtered so people are only following suit. |
