What kind of threads do you start or respond to?

Do you have random thoughts that pop into your head and you think you'll start a thread about it or do you think about them for a while before you write them?

Do you chip in to funny threads or the more thoughtful ones?

I like to think I write quite poignant, thought provoking threads. I'm very deep, you see.

.......

You have done it here OP.

I don't really start thread but I do join in on some threads that others start.

But now I am thinking what makes me join in. And you have done me. I couldn't answer straight away.

I need to go and have a lay down to think about it.

I only ever respond with deep and soulful musings. Very poignant stuff sometimes, very poignant indeed.

On rare occasions I might also copy/paste a word someone has said that I don't know and try to use it to seem intelligent while stroking my poignant dong also.

Then I put a cat emoji at the end.

I only respond if I can think of a cheeky response. I'll only start a thread if I think it'll get me lots of flirty attention

A few years ago I used to post threads on things I thought were interesting. I like to get varied opinions and maybe have my mind changed. Or even get other people to see things differently.

A poignant dong? That sounds like a yoga position. I like yoga

I start nice threads or ones that I think will be funny. I had one turn into a massive bitching thread once, which put me off for a while. I'm here for my own amusement, so I like the comedy. Sometimes I wrack my brain for days thinking of one I could start, other times I'm just inspired and start a few quite close together

You know me, I mainly try to keep it light hearted and idiotic. Occasionally, and it’s just a rumour…….i may contribute something insightful or useful.

It's a mix. I've started a few lately because 1) they amuse me. 2) I've been inspired by something 3) I'm feeling a bit... sexually charged and need to get something out of my system.

4) Someone has suggested I do.

5) I'm waiting to read a particular response to me.

Oh and I'm a real deep thinker and need to peacock this. Show I'm not just a pair of boobs.

Usually post in the forum games… sometimes when something pricks my conscious or the late night threads when I’ve finished football and too wired to sleep…

I like to sit on the fence and not be controversial… pretty rubbish posts to be fair… (like this one..)

I don't start many threads as I feel I should reply to everyone and feel bad if I don't so it's effort.

In terms of which I reply to, just any where my brain goes "ooooh that'll sound witty/clever/charming/flirty/insightful"

I don't start many threads - mainly because I don't think I've got anything particularly original or meaningful to start a thread about! (That's not me saying I don't have meaningful thoughts, just that most things have already been covered!)

Full of admiration for the 'I just post whatever pops into my head' types though, as if everyone took my approach there wouldn't be many threads, even if I might pass them by.

I comment here and there: do love a thread that gets me thinking, but equally happy discussing why coffee revels are awful.
