Some of my favourite old Skool (I thing that's how you spell it if you are down with the kids lingo  ) puds and snacks are....
Bread & butter pudding, Cornflake tart and toast over a open coal fire (quite common when we were kids as from a little mining village) also jacket spuds done in the coal fire

Don't remember the name but saw a post about it recently and they called it "School cake". It was basically vanilla sponge with either white or pink icing then covered with multi coloured sprinkles. Served with custard! |
