i have not worked for many years due to having my kids, just got a job in a rest home doing evenings and 1 night a week, i'm so dreading the night shift, really hope i don't fall asleep... |

Congratulations on your job. I'm sure you won't fall asleep - there will be things to do. If you ended up with my mother you will be spending the whole night trying to get her back into her own bed.

when doing a night shift in a nursing home i always found that 2am til 5am was the killer time period for me
Used to occupy myself by either catching up on the laundry for the place or help setting out the breakfast trays for the day shift. Updating of Care plans was another useful thing to do |

Get your phoned charged up and become a twilight Forum troll when you have a few minutes to yourself. I'm sure the residents will keep you on your toes though.
