"Would you good folk class that as the same thing as smoking?"
No. For a start there's no combustion as it's a heated liquid. It's also considerably less harmful than smoking. |

I agree with you, but there is no option for vaping on here, so I was curious to see what everyone thinks about it |

Vaping does not involve combustion and intake of burned materials. It isn't smoking. Inhalation of materials includes aromatherapy scents as well as scents from various sources.
Vaping, which may or may not include any nicotine contents, isn't smoking. Nicotine itself is arguably not an issue for consumption, unless consumed with materials that are burned and inhaled.

"For the sake of determining smokers versus non smokers, someone who vapes, to me, is a smoker. "
I vape and don't consider myself a smoker. I won't meet smokers either.
The site will probably add the option in the next 12 years or so. |

"Thank you everyone, I appreciate the replies and such.
Glad to know what other think about it, so at least I don't waste anyone's time... Even though I may have with this post "
Maybe put it on your profile? Different people feel differently about it |

"Vaping doesn't half stink though. I walked past someone vaping at the weekend and it was a horrible weird smell x"
Depending on the flavour being vaped there may be a strong aroma.
The difference though is that unlike cigarette smoke it doesn't linger, cling to clothes or hair, or even remain noticable on someone's breath.
Worlds apart from cigarette smoke. Trust me. I used to smoke uo to 40 a day, have vapid for 7 years now and there's no noticeable smell on my clothes, in my car, on bedding, soft furnishings......you get the drift....

I disagree regarding the lingering smell. From a non vaper, I can tell you that there is definitely a lingering smell on clothes. I suppose it depends on which vape juice you use though. |

"Yes just stupid putting chemicals in your lungs form money hungry company's.
This.
"
But how is it different to putting chemicals (alcohol) in your stomach, blood supply, heart and brain?
Or processed food full of additives?
Or botox or fillers?
All supplied by money hungry companies.......

"I can't see how inhaling moist oily vapour can be good for you. "
Do you know the ingredients of Vape juice sold in the UK?
Because most of the constituents are found in a wide variety of food and drink products.
Oil is not one of them.
Always amused when people use the word 'chemicals' in conjunction with vaping, given that water is a chemical compound.

"Yes because it still contains nicotine "
Mine doesn't.
Nicotine free Vape liquid is widely available.
The ingredients of my liquid are as follows.
High Quality UK Flavourings
EP/USP Propylene Glycol (PG)
Vegetable Glycerin (VG)
Propylene glycol is commonly used as a food additive. It helps preserve moisture as well as dissolve colors and flavors. It is also used in some medications and cosmetic products.
Vegetable glycerin is widely used in the food, cosmetics and pharmaceutical industries. It is often added to foods to help oil and water-based ingredients mix, sweetening or moistening the final product.
It can be also used to prevent ice crystals from forming in frozen foods, such as low-fat frozen yogurt, ice cream and other desserts.
Chances are you're already consuming the main ingredients of Vape liquid in your daily food and drink intake.

I smoked for 16yrs, and didn't noticed the smell til I quit ( omg 16yrs ago that's ironic), I can't stand smell of cigarettes proper or roll ups ( they are different) but it's your choice too, then vapes come along to help you get off cigarettes and more people started vaping than cigarettes, nicotine is an addictive drug which is in both it was the tar in cigarettes n tobacco they wanted to rid not the addiction or the companies n government would lose money, |

Yes but the lipids are removed. If you tried to vape an oil you'd need up with serious lung damage or dead like those people in America who made cannabis vape liquid using vitamins oil. There were several deaths and a lot of people with serious health issues.
Vaping has been around since the 60's and there have been very few health issues associated with it provided the liquids are correctly made.
Long term, independent British studies by various cancer charities and the RCP have stated that it's roughly 97% safer than smoking. |
