My best friend has just died! I came home turned the TV on and it just wouldn't work! I've had her for 4 years and nothing in my house up to date enough for my Virgin Media, blu ray or PS3.... What did we do before TV! Now I'm trying to find things to do.
My question to you lovely people are. You are home alone when the power goes... What would you do to entertain yourself?
(I can already see where this is going?! Lol) |

Depending on how long the power is going to be out.
If it is for a few days, then I shall get my trailer out, load up the car and go camping at the local camp site a few miles from home.
If it is just for a few hours, I would dig out the head torch, find some reading materials, and have a relaxing time reading.
If it is cold, I can dig out the gas heater from the garage.
Campers are resourceful. |

Way over Yonder, that's where I'm bound |
If it's the whole street then we usually pop into the each other and see who has managed to get hold of the electricity company and check on torches and candles. Or stand in the street and talk about the 70s and how we managed then.
If it's just me then I get my sister to check that I haven't broken something.
If it's the television alone then I hope the other one is working. If there is nothing working I go to bed with a torch and a book and the cat thinks it's her birthday.
Should this ever happen when I had a man here I would hope we would take advantage of the power loss to generate some heat. |

Pub! If pub wasn't open then I'd read in bed with a torch and a large vodka hoping it would calm my nerves and stop me thinking my life is about to play out like a horror movie |

When I was at uni I loved power cuts because I had a fb... We also quite enjoyed when the fire alarm went off, which was quite regularly and usually due to someone burning toast! So instead of standing outside in our pyjamas with hundreds of people at 4am, we'd make good use of the time! |

"Call up someone n tell him to get his ass moving n bring dome glow in the dark condoms so we can play peekaboo pmsl "
That's the pretend light saber game, you have to make the light saber noises to go with it too. |
