Its a lovely connection, you want to protect,to caress and feel every little movement,it was also a great place to balance a bag of malteasers when it got huge |

"even when i used to talk about her i used to rest my hand on my bump.. what annoyed me though was other people wanting to rub/stroke my tummy "
I think that would annoy me if I ever got pregnant. My mum is touchy feely and I'm not....well I am with the right people lol |

It never bothered me that people wanted to feel my bump but I can see that it would annoy others. What did used to annoy me was people saying "wow, you haven't got long to go" or "are you having twins" and I was only 6 months gone. |

Its an instinctive nurture thing.
I used to sit all night at home in the later stages with my tummy bare so I could stroke my skin and baby used to reward me with kicks and punches which were just so cute |

Oh this thread has made me feel broody, I want to be pregnant again. No doubt when my OH reads this post, as he does read through what I've written, it will strike fear into his heart |

I didn't have much of a bump, I was so skinny. Would always rub and stroke my lil bump as I felt close to him and wanted to feel his movements on the outside as well as inside. I felt like I was protecting him more too when I held my little football.
All broody now |

I've karate chopped a few hands off my bump. I felt it was an intrusion.
With my first daughter I didn't look pregnant standing up, didn't have a bump, didn't need any new clothes. But when I was in the bath, magically she'd appear and I'd lie there looking at my bump moving...creepy, fascinating, awesome...all in one. |
