Around 2000/2001ish I used to have a 'surface' piercing about halfway up the shaft, with an ambition to work up to a ladder of three or four. Unfortunately the area presented for piercing fluctuates wildly between shrinking away from a big lump with a needle and excitable on a warm day. The jewellery he put in based on what he had on hand turned out to be far too small for when normal service was resumed. It was absolute agony when it was at full mast, so it only lasted a couple of weeks.  |
