Slitting your wife’s through is not assisted suicide it’s a barbaric act.

“ How could you do that to Someone you love “ ?

Boo's World

On the news an older man/wife had a suicide pact as his wife was terminally ill. She agreed to the act itself whilst alive.

He slit her throat but failed to kill himself after etc...

Cleared of murder, charged with manslaughter but no prison term to do.

My wife died in 2005 of cancer. There is no way on earth that I could have slit her throat even if she begged me to. Just couldn't and wouldn't do. Fortunately my wife died at home peacefully with just me at her side as she wanted it to be. She didn't want the kids to see her die.

Sitting there watching you life long partner bleeding to death by your very own hand knowing that there was nothing you could do would haunt me for the rest of my life

It’s a shocking way to do it.

It’s definitely an issue that should be discussed more though. When my late husband was dying there were times he was in pain that I’d have been prosecuted if I left my cat in. And we were one of the lucky ones in terms of how well he was for the majority of the time he was ill.
