The people in it new before hand that it was being fillied and were told before they came
We know as there is a couple off people who were on it on fab

they did a 6 part 5 min short documentary on swingers who attent parties in London it was really good, and rely explained what the scene is about as well as emotions at play etc. |

They've camped outside annual swinger camps. They've sent journos into clubs posing as couples. They've joined sites pretending to be active swingers and interacted with people via chat and forums.
For years.
It's what journalists do.
Unless you're a celebrity I don't think there's much liklihood of any major newspaper running a story on Betty & Derek (42 & 48 - never understood what relevance ages had in press stories!) from Cleethorpes, who visit their local swinging club once a month where they like to indulge in group sex with other locals that nobody cares about either.
