Whilst never claiming to be an expert, I know a lot about fish, the kind you keep in aquarium, not the wild sea type!
I'm also one of those handy people to have on your pub quiz team. I know all kinds of random shite that is of no use, except in a pub quiz. |

Those at work know not to talk to me about that book, as they know it is nothing new to me! |

Having just come in from my regular Sunday night quiz. This week I know loads of random stuff as we won. Next week probably nothing as I can be very inconsistent with my knowledge. |

I agree. It's still part of the gcse curriculum but is competing against Of Mice And Men and the latter is shorter so often gets picked. Mockingbird is still popular and is so relevant to life today. My favourite bit is where the Reverend tells Scout to stand as her father is passing after Tom Robinson is found guilty. |

you find a million plus people are better at it than you.

The bit in the film that always brings tears to my eyes is when Scout realises it is Boo who saves them, and that he is hiding in the room behind the door.

It's such an incredible book. I remember one kid I taught telling me she wouldn't run past the spooky house anymore and shout at the man who lived there. Talk about a Eureka moment!! I love how gung ho Scout is!! |

I don't know. I went to the Belfast one earlier this year and it's very good - the recreation of the different class cabins is excellent. |

Tis just a short flight and a nice city too.
And if you can get a deal the premier inn titanic quarter is just 5 mins walk.
But fly to city airport not international it's just under a tenner from city in a taxi, international is about 20-odd miles from town!
Think I've got another specialist subject
Unexpected travel advice - hotels, all standards and quality if towels and beverage trays, getting to a variety of destinations from airports frequented only by budget airlines, and how to get round loopholes in budget airline rules... |

I'd go for the ferry. London to Cairnryan overland is very scenic.
Worth the effort and time. |

Cairnryan to Glasgow is stunning. But after that it's all motorways. And cairnryan to mine takes over 5 hours, so add the distance to London and you're prolly better flying! |

I take your point and, if I were travelling from Glasgow, I'd go via Troon.
The above aside, someone suggested it's better to travel hopefully than to arrive.
I enjoy travelling. |
