Depends which rules. 
I mean I frequently pack my bag at the Aldi checkout instead of using that long shelf they have at the front of the store.
I know it means I'm buggering up some poor sods performance statistics and that there are lots of signs saying not to pack it at the checkout, but if I've bought stuff that's fragile, like donuts and cake and I don't want it getting squished because they've been hurling it through the till then quite frankly fuck em!!
It's a rule I'm happy to break at times.......I'm a rebel.
