"I remove when a post duplicates, or when I read it back and it's full of typos. "
Those are sensible removals. It would be nice to be able to tidy those up. Threads can be full of removals and I keep wanting someone to run the virtual hoover over them. |

If I haven't seen who set the thread going then I am curious about them too. The strangest ones are the 'user no longer on site' AND 'removed by poster'. Although those could be the "I'm leaving" posts and then they think better of it. |

1. I remove if I haven't quoted and someone posts before me putting my post out of sequence and making what I say out of synch. I repost.
2. I remove if I speak my mind and then think Mr or Mrs Dipstick will take this personally and whinge cos they think it makes them superior. I don't repost. |

Those are the ones I remove too. It is so  when I spot one of my posts where it is full of typos. |

It irritates me when the first opening post of a new thread is deleted. I don't think that should be allowed, the site should force people to keep what they originally typed. So what if it had a few spelling mistakes, but I'd guess people have thought twice about what they've typed.
Keep it up there, have the balls to post it and see how it develops, or don't post at all and create the thread |

I have had it a few times when I've posted something and then hit the delete key instead of the go back key, I'm on my phone and I make the mistake at times. Its always when I've written a lot.
I try and post my opinion without being rude and resorting to insults. I don't think about whether people will be offended because its debate and not meant for insults.
At times I have challenged other posters' words because I have found them to be insulting. I don't like people trying to ridicule others in a misguided attempt to make themselves look clever.
I don't post and then remove. I stand by what I say. I don't ever worry about a forum ban because I don't set out to be rude.
However I accept that people can take issue with any points made and therefore they should engage with me further and if I've been out of order then I will apologise. I don't type insults then quickly delete them though |
