After yesterday's numerous fires across the country ( and obviously not detracting from people's losses ) it got me thinking about what the amazing men and women of the Fire Service went through yesterday..
Can you imagine fighting fires in 40 degree heat still having to wear all that protective gear .
That must have been rather unpleasant to say the least ..

I'm not a fireman but I've been on a few SAR training days with the specialist teams.
I've been really uncomfortable in tight and extremely restricted spaces without any of the PPE so I have a lot of admiration for everything they do. |

I logged on to start a similar thread - emergency services people must have been pushed to the limit the last couple of days. I was reading an account from a London firefighter on Twitter earlier. Just wow. You're all appreciated! |

Can't even imagine what
it's been like especially in that heat and how over run they were yesterday. Very grateful for all of them including all the behind the scenes staff.
