Curiously enough I was just mentioning ice cream on Faceache a few minutes ago.

Vanilla for me with a dribble of raspberry sauce. A McCallum.

I love ice-cream, most flavours but still would go for a decent Mr.Whippy any day!

An ice-cream parlour has opened where I live, keep meaning to go in and try all their different flavours but only managed in once so far

little house on the praire

My sister was in turin last week and she said she had a new favourite, something and fig.

What reminds me of being a child is the blocks of icecream you used to get of the icecream man for sunday tea. My grandma would give you tinned fruit and icecream and make you eat bread and butter with it

"Oyster Shells or Cider lollies.... "

Cider lollies... I'd forgotten about them. Those were the days.

I like nutty ice-creams but these days I prefer plain frozen yoghurt.

My mother would buy Neopolitan but it wasn't until we were adults that my sister and I realised you could have all three colours together!

Try the Frae, if you find a shop near you. It's organic, creamy and even people who hate frozen yoghurt end up eating all of mine. Skinny Moo is a bit too skinny for me. There is a Ben & Jerry's too in Cherry Garcia. That's lovely but don't let it get freezer burnt.

Don't eat ice cream these days, unless I find a sugar free one, but always liked the Haagen Dazs Strawberries and Cream one.

Childhood favourites would have been a classic 99 cone or a FAB lolly - coincidence...?

This would have been not long after decimalisation - prob about 1973 when I was 6 or so...can also remember being able to get 8 fruit salad or blackjack chews for a penny - dunno if there was a north/south divide in the 70s

France

I like a tropical mix of coconut and pineapple ice cream but prefer a nice sharp sorbet.

From childhood it was vanilla ice-cream from a small local dairy in an oyster shell and the man always put a flake inside it for me as an extra treat.
