I suffer from heat stress, so hourly showers followed by a nap is my plan today, with loads of fluids. Windows were open but the bloody wasps are trying to avoid the heat in my house. So fans are blowing with ice water bowls in front instead
Great advice from the TV docs this morning |

We have blackout curtains in the bedrooms, we keep those closed and the windows open just a little to allow air flow but not so much of the heat in.
I was home alone yesterday so spent the day naked.
I also took a couple of wet face cloths and placed them on my body whilst lay still, moving them around me.

"This is a pity post
Being a Redhead and menopausal, I may just evaporate today...
What are your best tips on keeping cool?? x"
Run a cold tap over your wrists. This will cool the blood going around your body. Hopefully no evaporations will occur x |

I haven't tried this so it could be codswallop!
My work colleagues were talking and they came to the conclusion that a bowl of ice behind the fan was better that in front of the fan. The reason was the fan draws the air from the back, meaning the ice lasts longer.
If it works I'm a genius, if it doesn't those pesky work colleagues know nothing |
