Sadly, it looks like NotTheMonkey has gone UNLOS, but I really liked his regular thread so going to keep his seat warm until he comes back.
A safe space to share stories, seek inspiration, compare notes, ask advice or just give yourself a massive shout out, whether losing weight, just keeping fit, training for an event/competition or sport.
So, how did it go? Good, bad, indifferent, it's all work in the bank!
Mine was ok. 2nd week of a 4 week power block, but introducing pauses into the big moves to mix it up a bit and try to and break some plateaus. So not pushing max numbers but aiming for a different stimulus - time will tell!
(And yeah, my gym week starts on a Tuesday, so I realise this is probably a day too late!) |

Haven’t set foot in the gym for 10 days
Caught a bloody awful cough from a germ factory that’s disguised as a daughter.
Tomorrow morning is my first day back in. |

That's exciting! Can we ask what you're competing in? I'm also considering a masters (I'm so old! Sob.) comp later this year as something to work towards... |

It didn’t happen, it was too hot to sleep, and I won’t go to the gym on 2-3 hrs of restless snoozing. I’ll try again in the morning when it’s cooled down (supposedly). |

Went yesterday morning for the first time in over a week (new job, new routine no longer got gym 100metrrs from my desk!), was a bit meh, I was half asleep and knackered so not sure it did me any good physically! |
