"My cock hard cus the teacher was fit "
I've never known any woodwork teacher to be anything other than a middle aged, gruff sounding man. What school did you go to? |

Tbh, the woodworking teacher at my school was pretty good looking. Albeit he was a dude. Very slick looking. |

Saw dust mainly
Woodwork wasn’t really a challenge for me tbh as my dad and stepdad were both chippys so not being big headed I sort of already knew most of what they were trying to teach
I was more interested in metal work
Made loads of stuff
Learned how to weld forge powder coat
More interesting than woodwork imo |

At school, a bowl, a clock, a chess table
At home, a bow, arrows, a very nice handle for a knife I made, M16 grip for a paintball gun.at school "

I didn't actually have woodwork as a specific subject. Woodwork came under the remit of "Craft, Design & Technology".
Anyway, the brief for the practical exam was to "solve an existing problem" using any material (wood, metal, plastic) of your choosing. Most of my fellow pupils made things designed to keep things dry in the rain or safety devices. I think it could be argued that many of them were trying to "reinvent the wheel" by designing and building what were - essentially - existing solutions to problems.
Anyway, I tried to be a clever c and designed and built a puzzle cube that was very similar to the well-known one. The difference was that on my cube each face had the numbers 1 to 9 on it when solved correctly. It was based on a game we used to play in Mathematics called "Number Place" but everyone now knows as "Sudoku".
However, due to an almighty cock-up on my part at the build phase the cube I made couldn't actually be solved and I didn't have time to fix it. Mind you, I still got a B in the final exam |

A pencil case - everyone in the country made a pencil case, didn’t they? Don’t tell me there are people who didn’t make a pencil case - that would be awful! |

I didn't. How did you make a wooden pencil case? |

"Didn't do woodwork at school, but Metalwork instead. Made a sliding bolt with backing plate to fit on a door - still have it, 55 years later!"
We did woodwork, metalwork, electronics, sewing and cooking in years 1 and 2. |

Some french windows for a nuclear power station 1/75 scale, at least that`s what I called it. My woodwork teacher wasn`t impressed. He said I had a warped and obtuse sense of humour.
I got a C in the O level. |

I can’t believe you didn’t make one. Well, you nail and glue together a five sided rectangular box, pencil length. And there are grooves on the inside of the two sides pieces of wood, into which you slide the lid. Are you going to make one? Please do! |
