The 10:18 BST Liverpool Street to Clacton service was derailed after it hit a number of cows on the track just after midday on Saturday.
No passengers were hurt but four cows were killed.
Are these bovine buggers the new terror?

Well it wasnt really the cows that derailed the train then was it?

I wonder if anyone grabs what bits they can find and have beef for tea
Trains hit wildlife all the time, usually cats, dogs, sheep, deer etc
The only unusual thing about this is that a train was derailed |

The actual headline was "Train derailed after hitting cows on line near Thorpe-le-Soken" but I thought I'd make use of Tom's "artistic license".

Though you could wonder if those sneaky cows martyred themselves to cause the derailment and disruption. They're big buggers are cows. |
