I tend to keep them open and doors open to create airflow through the property.
I also have bug nets on every window as moths and spiders also love my decor. |

"I read that in heat keep the windows closed otherwise your house heats up. "
I read similar yesterday and suppose it makes sense. If it’s cooler in the house than outside, keep the windows shut or it’ll let the hot air in. |

Get cool in overnight. I'm in Manchester and it's 25 degrees or so here - cool enough to open windows and turn fans on to get outside air in |

During the day, for the hot weather, windows closed and curtains closed too.
Double glazing helps keep heat out as well. Having the curtains closed blocks and reflects the sunlight from warning the room by radiating off surfaces. |

At the moment my house is 18 degrees… but outside at the moment is 23 degrees according to my weather app.. so windows are closed…
Our lowest temperature is supposed to be between 5 and 7am when it’s supposed to be 17 degrees so going to bed early and if I wake up early I may open it for an hour or 2 before going to work |

Closed and open, close them and curtains/blinds on the sunny side while leaving them open on the shaded side of the house.
Helps keep a nice ambient temperature. |

If it's 30° outside. You're just letting 30° heat into your house, possibly more if the sun is beating down through the window too.
I keep mine closed, curtains closed facing the sun too, until it gets cooler in the evening then I open them. |

you should actually keep them closed, because you are letting the hot air in, unless the sun is blazing directly into your window most of the day, then I guess you would need to open them,
but if like my house the sun spends most of the day at the side of the house defo keep them closed. |
