If you want it spotlesS run a bowl of hot water enough to just cover it and put in a milton tablet and leave for half an hour.
Milton tablets are the ones you sterilise babys bottles with |

Cheap ones are usually chrome coated tin or something like that, usually badly constructed and can break easily.
Good ones are made of stainless steel, better constructed and built to last.

Good quality comes at a price. I don't mind paying more for something that is built to last, especially for all things related to cooking. |
