"If you have, what was your experience like? I am way overdue an eye test and my glasses and lenses are fucked so thinking on whether to try?"
Do they do on line sight testing?
If not then you will still need your eyes tested to get the correct prescription for you to order.
A 'proper' optician will also take a look at the insides of your eye to check of any other problems. |

"I'd be getting the eye test from the opticians so I'd have my prescription but i just wondered what the service was like? "
It's ok for day to day glasses, the perscriptions are fairly consistent, I use them for cheap everyday glasses that I can easily replace when they break.
Turnaround is about a week, I've used them since 2018, according to my account and will continue to do so, I have my eyes tested by a decent optician, buy good glasses there and then cheap (almost dispensible) glasses from Selectspecs. |

Used them several years ago for my first pair- they were good...and i've found my glasses take a battering, so the lower price helps with replacement.
Have used glasses direct for the last couple of orders. first order they missed off the end bit of the prescription but had them back and sorted it out quite quickly- so now i've got about 4 pairs, think the last order was about £45 for 2 pairs, with the protective coating and one pair were sunnys |

All I will say is when you get your eyes tested if you've had glasses from them before ask for your pupillary distance (they'll only give if previously dispensed as its not part of a prescription so don't have to, or they may charge for it) cause if you mess that up you'll cause yourself a world of issues, trust me I know I spend enough of my time dealing with people coming in complaining about glasses they've bought online and they've messed that up.
Also it's a very grey area if they get them wrong or the prescription is wrong, legally the place that has done the test bears no responsibility for fixing it as they didn't make up the glasses under our gov rules.
