So, out of the following, what do you say is his peak performance...
1. Good, bad, ugly
2. Dirty Harry
3. Kellys heroes
4. Unforgiven
5. Absolute Power
6. In the line of fire
7. Gran Torino
8. Space Cowboys
I like them all but Gran Torino is working on so many levels and the putting to bed of Dirty Harrys ghost makes it, I think, possibly the finest ever.
Opinions please... |

You guys can't read too good?
If you didn't get what was going on with Gran Torino then you're hopeless - just dry up and blow away in the wind.
It was a very deep film making some important social and personal statements - god damn zipperhead... |

Never said nothin bad about Gran Torino. I personally have it in my collection and appreciated his return to the independent style.
But his 70's were my favourite. I'm just torn because he never set out to make a best film, he just excelled in his storytelling through originality and very rarely made the same film twice.
Oh another one... The Gauntlet! |

Bridges of Madison County will always be my fav - real storyline and real acting.
The rest were entertaining, but mostly involved just squinting and pointing his gun at anything that moved....

He was even in gone with the wind which shows just how long he has been around. Have to say just loved the good, the bad and the ugly. Lee van cleef and not just squinting |
