"Someone has just told me an interesting story. People who have been breastfeed, the mother produces milk appropriate for the age of the succulent.
True or not?
"
True. The contents of the milk vary depending on the duration of the breastfeeding period and things like hydration etc. Chemical signals via the infant's saliva assist in regulating the contents to a certain extent. It's very interesting. |

Spot on! Breastmilk is incredible stuff. If baby is ill, their saliva on the nipple will signal the body to produce the appropriate antibodies in the breastmilk. I'm rubbish at the proper scientific names but the concept blows my mind. Same if the lactating parent is ill - antibodies will pass through breastmilk to baby, thus potentially protecting them from illness.

"The human body and nature never ceases to amaze me. The things I learned when my kids were born is not only fascinating but also bizarre "
Like how much poo a small human can produce. It was like watching the ice cream dispenser in pizza hut |
