It is very annoying when some people are being disruptive in a cinema screen and ruining the movie for everyone but I think it should be the customer's responsibility to tell a member of staff immediately and not at the last minute.
Why is it that customers complain about people being disruptive either just before or after the movie is over? I think the main reason why they don't alert a staff member while the movie is on is because they don't want to miss any of it.
Like I said, it should be the customer's responsibility to tell a staff member immediately otherwise, how will the cinema staff know if nobody tells them?

Was at a gig recently and two women behind me were constantly talking. I just told them "I came to listen to the band not you two clacking away all night" . Never heard a word from them after. |

Depends on what they’re doing to be disruptive
If I’ve pod a lot of money for a film I want to see I’m a lot less tolerant than if I go to a kids screening as that’s just a nightmare with toddlers running around all over the place and spilling food everywhere.

Would it be better to politely tell the people causing disruption that they are disturbing others?
I have been in this situation a couple of times. Once a couple came into the theatre obviously with plans to meet up some people after the film and they kept messaging and talking to each other when the movie was going on. I asked them to keep quiet and some other people in the audience also gave them a stare. Eventually they decided to leave the film before it even ended.
Depends a lot on the situation and the people you are dealing with though. |
