Very early 90's I was once in a hotel in London sat at the bar enjoying a lunch time drink and I got chatting to a very pleasant American gentleman. We talked maybe a good hour before the people he was meeting showed up and off he went. It was only after the bar tender advised me my drinking companion was James Coburn. |

My friend and her family were in a restaurant when the Dalai Lama came in with all his bodyguards
I used to work at a riding school and regularly took out Robin Cook on rides (perhaps I shouldn’t admit to that) we also sold a horse to Kevin Keegan the footballer.
I met The Hoof GP (YouTube) at the Royal Highland Show, couple weeks ago.
And have met Princess Anne. |

I was sat on the train across the aisle from Radzi Chinyanganya. I sort of recognised him, and then a child came and asked for his autograph and got him talking about Blue Peter.
But the best bit for me was before that he'd got out a snack pot of fruit and dropped his spoon on the floor. He picked it up and wiped it on his t-shirt after looking to see if anyone was watching, then ate his fruit with it.
Oh, and Nigel Kennedy used to live next door to someone I know. I heard him practicing his violin over the hills in Malvern |

I’d probably say for me Angelina Jolie when she was flying home to see Billy Bob but guess everyone’s idea of most famous is different so could be Russ Abbot for some but I sat on his knee not next to him |

Sat behind Paul McCartney, his wife and kid in the cinema watching a kids film. Didn't even know til we all stood up at the end. I looked wide eyed at him and he winked at me. Then he got mobbed in the foyer. |

I didn't sit next to him but I've shook prince Charles hand.
also Robert Lindsey "the nations most beloved family actor!"
plus, Hugh Dennis, Moira Stuart, Nick Grimshaw.
Dec (of ant+Dec) looked at me once.
And not too long had lunch across from Nicko Mcbrain (drummer for Iron Maiden) |

I've had a few interactions with celebrities (mostly TV personalities) over the years. Two stand out, though:
The first was Nigel Mansell. I've always been an F1 fan since childhood and remembered when NM won his title in 1992. In about 1995/1996 (I forget the exact year) some of my friends and myself spotted him in Devon during a holiday. We cheered and gave the thumbs up etc. as he was a fellow Brummie. We weren't in his face or anything like that - we were a good 20 metres away and just wanted to show some recognition and appreciation for him as the teenagers we were. Anyway, he promptly stuck his fingers up and told us - in no uncertain terms - exactly where we could fuck off to. I lost all respect for him after that (well, after shouting some abuse back at him).
The second was a well-known TV personality in the mid-1990s - 2000s-ish (I don't watch TV much). In fact, I'd never heard of her at the time. Anyway, during a work night out in 1997 I bumped into her at one of Brum's nightclubs. I seem to remember not even being 18 at the time but being with a group of men in their 20s and 30s (and, frankly, looking old for my age) meant I was able to breeze into the place. I wasn't very used to drinking at the time but could still walk and talk after a few. Anyway, one of my companions tried to explain who she was but I had no idea...then they said something like "You know, the one with the fake tits". I still didn't know who she was but when she walked over I blurted out something stupid like "Fake tits aren't going to feel like real tits anyway, are they?"
Long story short(ened), she walked over, grabbed my hands and shoved them up her top. Whilst looking me in the eyes she asked "how do they feel to you?" I could barely speak, most of my blood had gone to the wrong organ for thinking of a reply. I muttered something like "yeah, they're OK". Then she disappeared with her entourage into the crowd. It was probably 6 months until I realised exactly who she was until she appeared in a regular TV series.
And no, it wasn't who you're thinking of.
