After having to cancel my appointment last year for my second bit of ink, I have managed to rebook for next week.
It isn't a big tattoo so only a couple of hours in the chair, paid for by my tax rebate |

I'm due a session over the next few weeks. Not sorted out what to get yet. Lots of ideas milling around but not yet had that "eureka" moment.

Good ones always will be. If you can get an appt within a month with someone it speaks volumes about their work.
I generally only do full day sittings rather than smaller sessions here and there, and I'll book the next one (generally in 6 months time) at the end of each one.
Always worth waiting for a slot with the right artist.

I feel your pain. I'm ready to have my sleeve finished. Only problem, my artists book are closed, they open in October and he's then booking for the new year  |
