We have been chatting with a great couple via the site and WhatsApp and will be meeting soon

This morning they came up on Mr's Facebook as 'people you may know' we didn't know anything more about them than first name's rough location and mobile numbers..

This is absolutely no reflection on them and we will be meeting. But The social media connectivity is mildly concerning us!! Thoughts

That's what happens when you have people's numbers and your contacts are synced. You need to turn that option off.

Your number will potentially link you to Facebook and Instagram, either take your number on those apps or don't use WhatsApp!

They care not about anyone's privacy.

It's possible their phone number is connected to their Facebook profile.

Maybe with you having their number stored is why the connection

Utterly agree, however we genuinely want to be open with those we want to meet, readily sharing our number's. With the same not always reciprocated, their loss..

We don't hide, although do not wish to open our life to all and sundry..
