Any fellow Pole dancers who maybe tried and loved it? Do you still do it? How long have u been doing it for?
I’ve started last year and had two teachers (both so different in good ways) so I’m quite new but I have been loving it so much, especially being able to express the body. Obviously Pole can have so many different styles (loads who don’t know it seem to be thinking of strippers which is only true to an extent)
What’s your fave thing? Spin or static? I find spin more my style and I adore during choreography as I love to dance rather than pure tricks

"I like the bit when the lady takes her clothes off. "
Haha just that bit? Generally tho Pole doesn’t have that stage
Unless it’s Pole at the strip club ![](/icons/s/mrgreen.gif) |

I did it for a while years ago. My sister in law had a pole in her garage to practise on between classes. My god, the bruises! My feet and shins were a patchwork of purple and green, but I loved it. I preferred the spinning pole as I looked like I was better than I was, IYSWIM. On the static pole my lack of skill was painfully obvious!
An amazing side effect of it was uber strong pelvic floor muscles, they got so tight! To the point where it was actually difficult to go for a poo at times ![](/icons/s/redface.gif) |

Ohh yes spin is definitely more showy and u need to do less and still look amazing for the untrained eye
Static is great to build up strength and technique and doing positions . I like both to be fair
I wish I could put a pole at mine but as my flat is small The chances of cracking my head open against something are high ![](/icons/s/sad.gif) |

Doing pole toned my body so fast, more than any other excercise I've ever done. Sadly my sister in law got rid of the pole and I can't afford classes *looks down at untoned squishy body* |
