Nope, not a thread for Nivana fans. This post is for all those square pegs, wierdos, misfits and anti social shadow lurkers that view and sometimes comment on the forums.
I'm definitely not one of the "shiny happy people" and embrace my dark humour whilst drinking from my half empty glass.
Who else is a jaded jerk or morose muttafukka?
Some say "hi" or "meh" or "whatever" ;-p |

The grunge seen was pretty good snapshot of late 80s/early 90s cool. It still resonates with me now but I think you might have had to experience it previously to really enjoy it.
I missed the Pixies when they played Brum pre pandemic because the tickets were like £200 |

Yes, the price of live music is insane now. Add on the drinks and the fact that you're usually watching the band on the screen as everyone is holding their phones up to record. Not worth it anymore. There are some decent tribute bands around which are a bit of fun. |

Social I wear that happy smoky face , but inside of screaming , I can’t do people who get excited because of a loaf of bread has 1 pence off .
I am in a WhatsApp family chat group , about 10 of us , and I can shut that shit down in 1 comment , I came , I saw , I made that shit awkward .
I am always the one that takes things to the dark ( humour ) side , and only a few work associates get it and join in . |

London gig prices are insane by the time we factor a train in to London amd tube across London its another £20-25 each. We tend to drive to Cambridge, Bedford or Milton Keynes and see smaller bands and it's not too expensive. |

I haven't watched mainstream TV since the "switch over". I've had friends that have put Netflix or amazon on devices of mine but they've broken so I manage to avoid all the crap. Now I get "there's a pale, tattooed ginger" on love island" lol. So I tell them about the goings on at the swinging club I was at on Tuesday. All of a sudden they are all ears. That's a fine example of the general public these days. They love to look into other people's lives. Exactly the reason reality programs and social media is so popular. People are quick to judge and also quick to feel inadequate if their lives don't match up to others. It's toxic. Some people only tend to share the good times to make their lives look exciting. Others the bad for the sympathy. Its all about the attention in my opinion.
Hence I have absolutely no social media at all. Have no interest in sharing what I had for dinner with people that would walk past you in the street |

"I’m an antisocial, sarcastic lurker.
I find trying to be sociable and happy all the time exhausting. X
There is only so much "love island" chat I can tolerate and its actually none.
All pretentious wanna be famous reality shows are banned from my TV. I seriously think a brain cell dies with every single second spent watching that nonsense.
Only accepted reality show is come dine with me and master chef if you can call that reality show.
Funny how people assume you're the one missing out by not watching crap on TV.

Finding out what I've done after a d*unken blackout gives me the total fear. If I can't remember I have no desire to find out, as when I do it either involves stories of me.getting but naked or having to apologise to a lot of people for my inappropriate banter. |

My "check ins" help if I've lots articles on the night out. When I'm "black-out d*unk" I'm actually more aware of stuff going on around me and in control of the situation (ironically) it's my day after head that can't remember shit that panics. |

I don’t like losing control like that. I like to party (Maybe a bit too much), I wouldn’t want to become vulnerable and maybe let people see the side of me I keep hidden |

I've only been drinking for 10 years so "mad sessions" are still a novelty to me. I like to remember good nights out but it does amuse me when I have to piece bits together. I don't hide any sides of myself. Some filters are in place from time to time but I am very much who I am. Took a while to get there but I love my inner negative creep. |

Don't hide embrace. I have zero filter anyway. Just when I'm d*unk I tend to share the thoughts I know that are not acceptable to share while sober. Doesn't make me a bad man. I never have the intention to offend anyone just speak my mind |

Ditto to that. Fine example. I was at Silverstone for weekend in a very high end hotel. Went down for breakfast sat morning and the security all knew my name. No recollection of Friday after enjoying hospitality for 12hrs at track. Thankfully they seemed to see me in a positive light. Luckily the wife was in as much of a state as me and couldn't recite to me a play for play rundown of the night before |

It’s things I do in my private life that I wouldn’t want to share with most people.
Nothing too outrageous. They just don’t need to know. |

I think a lot of people are focused on making their point and not interested in others opinions. I try and get a good balance and not be all "me, me,me" |

A Gucci flip flop still sounds the same as primark one. Not quite sure what it reminds me off though;-p |

I'm more and more bemused by people including terms like "No weirdos or creeps" in their profile text.
What's the criteria for that, and do people think "I'm a weirdo, best not text them". |

On some level I've done that. More of a case of knowing that a particular person is not going to get my humour or take things out of context. I'm not everyone's cup.of tea but occasionally I'm someones shot of whiskey. |

That would be me. Being self-employed is great in this weather because I get to hide at home in the dark until Wednesday. I'm sooooo looking forward to rainy Wednesday. |

Nah that's not us. We maybe Misfits and weirdos but we're way too busy fucking shit up and enjoying ourselves in our own special way to hide in the shadows. Life is hard, shit happens and all we can do is laugh about it and make the best of the good. |

Hello, thanks for starting this thread.
I'm definitely a misfit, I don't go to pubs, but in enforced family events or work dos, I would be considered a lurker.
Not many people find the chink in the armour I put on to face the world, but when they do, they find I'm a dark humoured nuisance, and might be shocked to discover I'm on here
That's one thing I love about fab, you may have to look really hard, but there is someone for everyone.

Hello there! I'm actually suprising social but I do tend to cause many awkward silences as people pause to process what ever crap I have killed the conversation with. I'm no longer embarrassed by my "quirkiness" and there are lots of "kooks" and "crazies" that make me feel "normal" on here. |

I just have very little interest in what other people are doing. I try and join in and all but it feels awkward and forced and am I really bringing anything of any value? |

Probably, it's the outsiders opinion that I like to listen to rather than the status quo (flood gates now open for Quo jokes) |
