Depends how long they are - I'm not here to read essays or legal clauses - to be honest, it's the pics that get my attention - the written content of the profile is an after thought |

Imagine if everyone in life moaned like they do on Fab.....

You see an billboard advert for a new computer. There are pictures at the top and a detailed technical description at the bottom.
You walk into a store wanting to buy the computer and ask a staff member to tell you a bit about it.
The staff member angrily snaps at you: "Go back and read the billboard ad properly and stop wasting my time!!!!"
You leave the store never to return and tell most of your friends to avoid the place. You buy your computer somewhere else where the staff are friendlier.

I once read a rather long and disturbing profile about sex and violence.
It was only half way through that I realised that I had clicked off the link and was now reading the screenplay for American Psycho.
You can understand my hesitation on all future profile _iewings.

It depends, sometimes I do but if the punctuation is poor, I give in half way through.
Just basic stuff like capital letters so thats its easier to read, that kind of thing.

Even if some are way more irritating than that 'Go Compare' twat!

A comparison site for profiles!!
Oh and another one!!!
A 'new laywers for you' company to pursue expense claim refunds for those stood up on meets that have suffered the hardship of fuel accomodation expenses!

I see profiles as the patter that goes along with an initial meeting - akin to how you'd chat in a pub, so I always read them (even the long boring ones like ours) to the end.
I think you can tell a lot from the words people use and how they use them (or don't) even more so than their pictures.
