I can imagine all the pints of piss and “soggy biscuits” being consumed across these fair isles as I type ..

Good luck to the egg-chasers I hope they chase eggs successfully!

Well the kiwis were fortunate the score was that big and watching sexton get dinged once again for concussion worries me!!

And there was no need to see that poor Aussie break his arm elbow in slow mo!! I’m eating me breakfast!!!

I’ll be back later after the Tour de France

TMO can direct the referee to foul play.

Players need to learn they are being watched - engage in foul play - you get pinged

It’s good for the game

I am just surprised people think they can get away with anything with the amount of cameras there are anymore… I just laughed when hooper was pleading for 2 yellows

So you're happy to allow assault on the field of play?

Well that's true... I'm more surprised still with the number of head shots still happening. Heard a radio interview someone saying ball carriers now leading with the head deliberately to draw the penalty / card...

A quick mention of the Rugby U20s competition currently being shown 'live' on YouTube. Some great games, some obvious stars of the future too. France vs SA today.

How did the ref spoil the game. Wales were rubbish in the second half. They got out played and the saffas won. Take it they world Champs. Plus same as England they have 2 fool in there rugby that mess it up. Farrel and Eddie.

You may be right. I just don't think English rugby players / coaches are good enough at the moment. The premiership is generally too risk averse and one dimensional. Chris Boyd had it right. English rugby needs to develop more risk takers.its why quins have been such a breath of fresh air the last 18 months.

Quins are playing good old rugby. It's taken Eddie 3 years to get over his pride and select the best 9 in the world. There is no stand out team anymore. It's a even playing field.

Best 9 in the world? That's pushing it a bit..think dupont or faf might have something to say about that..even nic white was good yesterday.

But he certainly goes well in the quins set up.

I'm excited to see what jvp can do if he gets decent minutes on the pitch though.

Ohh that was a bit close at the end, I recon England looked pretty good in the first half though, scrums looked a bit dodgy but we held it just enough to make it work and in the end that’s all that matters

We are going nowhere fast at the moment though. If we play faz we need him to stay at centre as he just gets in the way at first receiver.

As a former Rugby player it's probably odd that I don't really watch Rugby. When I do it's just the occasional big internationals. But I just don't like watching sports however I love to play sports. Watching just isn't the same. Kind of how I'm like I'm this scene too.

I actually think all the northern hemisphere teams do…..

Irish and English for obvious reasons… Wales came a lot closer to winning in SA than anyone would have thought… and Scotland played in Argentina basically without their lions contingent

I could pick a lot more holes in the New Zealand and South African teams and their management

I’m not convinced Scotlands game plan is right. No variation!

Watching Argentinas speed at the breakdown and the pace that they moved the ball - impressive!

Townsend has talked about playing that style of rugby since he took charge - but is still not delivering it!

Shake-up needed

The quirky thing at the moment is that the top 4 nations in the world rankings… France, Ireland, New Zealand and South Africa… are all on the same side of the next World Cup path to the finals…

So if you are an England or wales or even Australia.. you have to believe you can still get to a final!

Yeah good point. Toonie has had some great results over the last 2 years and of course they always up their game for the calcutta Cup. But I'm never convinced by hogg or Russell. Russell on form is mustard but doesn't do it enough. I can't see how scotland have moved on under toonie in the last 2 years.

And same for England. I see no game plan beyond putting talented players on the pitch and wishing for a moment of magic.

Our 10 12 14 are massive issues as are our back row

They haven’t

I have loved the Calcutta cup wins - really really loved them

But being honest about it I would rather have seen progress in the areas of attack consistency and game management at the expense of chucking everything at 1 game each year

I would at least feel confident we will make it to the knockout rounds of RWC next year

The Tantric Tea Shop

Makes for an interesting world cup, I don't think N Zealands current coaching/management team are getting the best out of them, Ireland will be dangerous, England seem to have dropped Daly and Slade, two of the most creative ball players we have, its Frances cup to lose!
