I got given three daisies and ‘I love you’ written in chalk on the floor

A token of appreciation, a thank you or daisies - it’s nice to receive the simplest of ‘gifts’ isn’t it??

When was the last time you received something cute?

My memory doesn’t go that far back for anything romantic.

Xbox sent me a birthday credit, does that count?

A world all of his own

A few years ago, my great niece drew a big crayon drawing with "I yoo" on a piece of paper whilst at my house. It's still on my fridge door

My son bought me a bar of fruit and nut the other day. Does that count?

Opposite sex, romantically... Can't remember. The last 2 times I got given flowers were from creepy stalker types

I think romance is different for everyone. I remember when I got chicken pox 3 years ago, my bf at the time was terrified it would set off shingles for him, but he came over and tended to me when I was delirous and in a fever. I thought that was a wonderful gesture.

I can't remember the last traditionally romantic gesture, which is great because I'm a cynical twat. This week my youngest asked if I wanted some of his sweets and my eldest said 'thank you for being the best mum'. That sort of thing doesn't happen all that often and is precious

Every time my partner comes over for the weekend and cooks, washes up and makes me cups of tea because he knows I'm knackered is all the romance I need.

Chica Bonita told me she likes my face on bad hair day.

Small or large, I've not been given anything from a romantic partner in years.

The last "something" was when an ex bought me a toothbrush to keep at hers

Couple weeks ago I was having a really bad day and I was nagging LvM that I want a cake but we didn't have any. The next day I was working from home and LvM was running some errands and he came home with a piece of my favourite cake

That's adorable OP, it's heartwarming to get the little things isn't it? That time and thought and knowing you're on someone's mind.

So the last little romantic thing?

I was moaning about my hair being too long for kirby grips the night before. You know, in a general extended waffle about my life. The next day some silk scrunchies arrived for me. Very cute.

I can't remember being given anything really but I have given romantic gifts to partners in the past.

As of now, I think my romantic days are over. I don't think I have it in me to be in another relationship anymore.

It's definitely the small things that matter. My ex used to get up at 6:40am for work but he'd bring me tea in bed just before he left .

When he knows I'm tired, he'll make me a mocha, let me sleep in, keep the kids quiet while I have a coffee, that's my mind of romance, plus when he comes back from the shop with a little small treat, biscuits etc that he knows I like.
