The latest remake of Tinker, Tailor, Soldier, Spy was mind numbingly dull.

Most sci-fi and gore horror films I don't get - my mind just can't take the scenarios on board.

The Matrix and Donnie Darko I just didn't buy into, despite their cult followings.

How can you day Bladerunner is dull?

To me its cinematic perfection. Great cast, great script, great visuals, great soundtrack and makes you question morality.

I agree about Tom Cruise though, he's a vile, overpayed dwarf who can't act...lol

Bladerunner is good, but does not warrant a "new" edition every couple of years.

2001 makes a lot more sense if you have read the book.

Saw the shining at the cinema this Halloween and it works well on the big screen.

Tom Cruise is sponsored by Cuprinol.

Avatar, turned it off after 15 painful minutes, The Matrix..tried so hard but I wanted a labotomy after Keanu Reeves character had a bug crawl out of his ear, Inter_iew with a vampire ( I actually fell asleep in the cinema ), but have since watched it, it's okay and it pains me to say it, but.....Skyfall, a sycophantic Judy Dench love in with no redeeming substance, it was like a Bond love in, watchable, but cringeworthy...

Prometheus. - I thought it was fucking awful and I was so angry at Ridley Scott for going back on everything he ever preached about the Alien films.

I really didn't understand the hype, as a movie it was terrible. Poor level of acting, really bad CGI and NO imagination what-so-ever. I couldn't wait for the characters to die, there wasn't a single one I felt I could relate to and, to be honest, they just annoyed me.

It was one of those movies where you sit there every minute wondering WHY you're still watching it and when it was finished I just remember me and Vincent looking at eachother wondering why we wasted 2hrs of our lives...

I've been a fan of Jackie Chan movies since I was a kid and hate it when a movie is dubbed. I quickly developed the ability to read subtitles and not miss any action.

I dont mind remakes/prequels that change the existing storyline of a franchise.Unlike Underworld, which had one of the most pointless prequels ever!

Ah but there is sound - even talking !

You just have to wait

I struggled to get used to the silence initially, but after about 20 minutes it didn't even occur to me that it was silent and I really enjoyed watching it.

I do think being in the cinema helped though - some films don't translate too well away from the big screen !

Noooooooooo!

Absolutley love this!

How often do you get to see a little girl kick the shit out of the bad guys and then say a line like

"Okay, you cunts. Let's see what you can do now!"

Priceless!

"Gentleben:

Bladerunner... dull dull dull"

Agreed. Shooting scantily-clad women just because they happen to be clones is just not right. He could have fucked her first fgs!!

"

2001 Space Odyssey... dull dull dull

"

WHAAAT! Tis a brill film!! You're really wierd!!

"

The Shining... dull dull dull

Anything with Tom Cruise... twat twat twat"

Yup, The Shining is remembered only for Jack Nicholson sticking his ugly mug through a bathroom door and saying, "Heeeere's JohnnY!" like he was introducing a contestant for Deal or No Deal.

..and as for Tom Cruise... I don't think he's ever made a film where there isn't a five minute segment where nobody but him speaks. It's like the entire film is shot so that it builds up to Cruise's prime moment.

"Drive…. The only film we have ever left the cinema before the end of. We have vowed never to go and see another film that says it is “art house” "

Worth hanging around until the last half hour, it is killer.

I've never really bought into the Blue Brothers tbh. I've started watching it loads of times thinking I must be missing something but every time I've watched it I've realised that after five minutes I'm thinking of something else and have literally lost the plot to the film - and then turned it over.

It's booooooooring!

Pulp Fiction is exactly the same - it's pants.

Kill Bill 1 & 2 as well. I mean, how many times can the same japanese guy get his arm cut off ffs!

Tarantino films are worth watching just for the soundtracks

Right where do I start

Sixth sense -dire, fell asleep

Shawshank redemption - I just don't get the attraction

The green mile - like a slow death

Someone mentioned blazing saddles earlier- the only film I've ever walked out of the cinema. Just don't get the humour

Generally the more a film is hyped the less inclined I am likely to watch it

I feel special mention must go to independence day, I went to the cinema really looking forward to it, what an absolute let down

Infact anything with will smith normally is!

Kill Bill 1 & 2 should have been one film... it was dragged out for no apparent reason other than to double the takings by hoping people wanted to know how it ended.

But Pulp Fiction is a classic!

Pulp fiction is a classic but so is kill bill 1/2 it's not dragged out, there are no unnecessary scenes at all and it would be too long as one movie as it was originally imagined

Tarantos scripts are second to none, just as good is deathproof

Although inglorious bastards was a bit of a let down

In order to understand where people are coming from when saying a film is shit you really need to know what film in its place is good, for instance if someone said the godfather was shit but the hangover 2 was the best film ever then we might have an incling as to how they think and evaluate. lol
