Reports that gin sales are well down as families choose between, heating, eating and drinking.

Has gin had it's day. Vodka sales rising and taking up the slack ..

All fads tail off at some point, never understood this one as hate the taste of gin (and yes I’ve tried in numerous ways and flavours just not for me)

Also fads = inc prices, capitalism a product or service is worth what folk are WILLING to pay for it

I’m just glad rum isn’t the new fad!

I'm waiting for larger to be in fashion

I've been drinking it for years

I'm so far ahead of the curve that it's untrue

One day people will catch on to what they are missing out on

Don’t, please!

I used to drink cider before it was a ‘thing’- the choice was usually strongbow or woodpecker…often it wasn’t available or they found a couple of dusty bottles in a fridge- if I was really lucky I found somewhere that did copperhead or cider house scrumpy. Used to be piss cheap though and they couldn’t water it down, so for a poor struggling student/dole scrounger i was a cheap date. Then it became the new big thing, and the prices shot up
