"Kensington Market, sadly long gone! "
Loved this place. Used to buy rubber dresses from "pure sex" when I was 13 and gruesome t shirts from "Artificial eye". Many a friend got a shit tattoo from the basement of Ken Market. Got my first piercing there too. When I go to Manchester I get nostalgic vibes from Aflecks but it's not quite the same. |

Bondage in General. Bought a two tone suit there.
Then it was McQueens where the cubicles had saloon bar doors. Robin the manager would always come up to them as you had your pants down to ‘check if you were ok..’ |

"The Oasis in Birmingham....it's still there "
I remember that wasn't it in the basement of the bullring??
Lot's of independent hippie stalls and shops, a bit like Kensington market already mentioned.

American Classics. Vintage Western clothing on the King's Rd and Coventry garden. Flip in Covent garden too. Their bargain basement was awesome. We used to buy vintage, industrial America work wear to go clubbing in. |

HMV or Virgin Megastore. Ironically, a revamped HMV has opened in Liverpool and is resolutely uncool being populated mostly by nostalgic middle-aged man fingering the viny.
I may have been once or twice |

"Anyone remember Our Price "
Yup! one of my regulars, despite it being more of a mainstream music shop.
Do remember picking up a Bauhaus limited edition gatefold album and a signed Primatives album from the bargain bin, on the same day- think they were a fiver in total....guess the usual punters were more interested in PWL stuff and overlooked these gems |

"I used to love going to the old oasis in Birmingham. It really was a happening place at the time. "
It was so much better when it was all black and poorly lit inside, the general smell of leather and patchouli oil- they proper buggered it up when they modernised in mid 90's |

I’m ancient - so:
Mr Freedom Kensington Market for t shirts, grandad vests and flared trousers
Biba - everything they made I loved
Kings Road Chelsea
Knightsbridge High Street
Charles Jourdan - all my shoes, boots and bags
Until I got married all my money went on clothes, boots and make up
