Winks - what are they good for?

Judging by the profiles I read, winks are universally hated. They sound like a good idea, but to a woman/couple with an overflowing message inbox, they are understandably seen as an unimaginative and uninformative mode of communication.

I’m interested to hear if anyone finds winks useful.

We’ll wink back if we like a profile.

We’ll send winks as a way of showing interest.

We use them but more often than not we’ll send a message.

I’d say to people that send them - it’s an opportunity for others to view your profile, so if you have no pics or just did pics and a generic profile then there’s no point directing people to view it!

Sometimes I look at the profile, sometimes I don't even notice new winks.

I don't understand though why people send winks if they have their profile hidden or it's a totally blank canvas.

I find they're a nice way of women who want to start the conversation doing so without needing to send the message. Utterly useless the other way though
