Track day for me a day 5 mates at the local karting and off roading place. I've won loads of stuff though, ipad, £500 cash, makeup, clothes vouchers, shoe vouchers, hair care products, toys, pans, perfume, skincare, hotel stay, meals out, stuff for the house. I used to enter competitions as a hobby but don't have time anymore.
I won £100 when I was 11. But I was as boring then as I am now and put it in my bank account
Oh and just before Covid struck I won a prize on the Severn Valley Railway. They had to give me a gift voucher in the end, so I still have £240 to spend on something on a steam train
Lifes departure lounge NN9 Northamptonshire East not West MidlandsMidlands
The year was 1964
The competion was run by a local charity
The prize was a new Mini
The Mini was filled to the brim with tennis balls.
All you had to do was guess how many tennis balls were in the car.
I was 15 balls out and nearer than anyone else and I won the car. cant remember the actual number but I know I spent £10 on tickets which were 2 shillings each, in 1964 that was a weeks wages.
