Maybe it's just my experience but I seem to keep coming across guys who want to "bend you over". Yes, it can be fun as part of a whole situation, not just that.
Maybe I'm just butt ugly and they dont want my face to put them off? 
I dont know? I just find it quite offensive.
Personally, I like eye contact. I like to see who I'm bumping uglies with. Missionary position is very under rated in my opinion.

I think there is a few elements at play, one being missionary not being "fashionable" as it were. But I also think there is the fact that different positions create different levels of penetration and feeling for the one with the penis.

I think doggy is more of a 'long lasting' position and doesn't make men feel that vulnerable so that's why they like it so much. I don't think it's anything to do with not finding the person attractive.

I think missionary position is underrated but also associated with the old fashioned idea that women just lie there and do nothing. Maybe some are like a sack of potatoes!

Until getting together both of us were quite adverse to missionary, but we absolutely love it. In fairness we love it in every position, but our love of missionary has come as a real surprise to us. It's just the fact you can have the most amazing kissing at the same time as really deep penetration that seems to be doing it for us. So I suppose it's the kissing that's made it so good. For me, I feel there's more connection when there's eye contact, kissing and more interaction with the other person. I'm not saying I dislike doggy style but if I'm wanting to be passionate and intimate then it's missionary. If it's just a hard fuck then it's from behind and other positions for any thing in-between
