"Open House - the great sexperiment" Anyone else seen the channel 4 series? Thoughts on it? Any other documentaries you've seen..
Avoiding of course the one at Liberty Elite. That was just depressing! |

I found it unethical television-making. They took couples who wanted to explore together and had jealousy and trust issues, and split them up encouraging them to do things with other people without their partner. That's just wrong. One couple even broke up on camera as a result of what they were encouraged to do the night before by that relationship counsellor.
The whole thing was very artificial. It certainly doesn't represent swinging as I know it.
Declaring it "great" and an "experiment" just goes to show how prurient it really was.
Plush the wash alsho that narrator with a very annoying voish. |

I liked the fact it wasn't all roses things didn't go to plan etc people thought they'd be ok in one scenario then found themselves suffering from jealousies etc
I found it interesting that on sites like this Hotwifing & Cuckolding are two of the most popular kinks but neither were mentioned on the show
& I thought it was a shame that lots of the people on the show had already done other reality TV or had a big social media / OF presence meaning they only done the show for exposure but then I guess not many people want their sex lives on national TV so I guess the producers can only work with whoever's prepared to work with them

I watched one episode and it’s just the same as everything on channel 4 and 5
Follow someone around with a camera and twist everything to make it look dramatic
“Paul has a lorry full of bakebeans will he be able to get it delivered to Morrisons before it closes”
Cut to paul “Iv only got 6 hours to travel these last 3 miles, I don’t know if I’ll do it and my yorkie is melting on the dashboard” |

It did seem to exploit and twist open relationships to push the couples into having to deal with drama and their own personal issues rather than building confidence and increasing relationship bonds. I liked the party games though |
