I’m thinking the same. I’ve really wanted a half sleeve (lower) for a while now but not sure if I’m too old |

Started getting them at 18, currently booked in for another on Fri....I'm 45.
I do stuff because I want to.... also just had our wedding reception, where I was dressed as a disney baddie and my 50yr old friend was Ariel.... not one person questioned us having great fun on a night out..... |

I got my first at 29, my last at 34 and I’m nowhere near finished. Due to the cost I’ll probably still be getting them well into my forties so no I don’t think you are too old.

I've been getting tattooed over the last 30 years, the bulk of which has been in the last 3 years. If you like ink then age shouldn't be an issue. My last tattoo was 2 months ago and I'll get more over the summer. |

I have had the majority of my ink done during my 40's.
Think about it this way OP, those young people with ink will age and the ink will still be present during their 40's, 50's and onwards. What I am trying to say is having a tattoo doesn't have an upper age limit. If you want to decorate your skin with ink then go for it

I know. But doesn't mean you don't think about things along the way! |

We’re not aware of any age restrictions on tattoos once you’re 18
Go for it! What are you getting? |

The majority of people I know all have tattoos from young to middle aged. So you won’t look out of place with yours.
I’m not a great fan of them as I think the uniqueness of having one has now been diluted.
But even in jobs I have recently applied for, as long as the tattoo isn’t on the neck, face or hands it’s not an issue with employers either. |

I would like to get my wife (40) branded on her buttocks like in the story of "O", which is a step further than a tattoo, I appreciate!
Anyone had body art similar?
I am sure she would be more amenable to the idea, if she can talk to a lady who has been similarly decorated.

The wife had an amazing piece of art tattooed from her thigh to her ribs and also a beautiful piece on her shoulder all done in her mid to late 40s and they are amazing x |

I got my first one aged 55 and now have another four.
They’re all representative of the huge changes in my life when I was finally able to live the way I’d always wanted to and we began swinging.
I always was a late starter!

I would rather do it when older so I know everything's already sagged lol
Also in my late teens/early 20s I wanted some truly dumb shit tattooed on me. Thank god I never went through with it |
