That is just the way I like it!

I like apple and blackberry crumble, but I do like to have loads of crumble. I hate spooning through lakes of fruit trying to find the thinnest. Crust of crumble.

Maybe you disagree?

Here occasionally, but mostly somewhere else

50/50 on this particular spectrum, please.

But it has to be crumble, not just some crumbs. Binding is important!

I hate the texture of cooked fruit... So I'll just have the crumble and custard please!

I'm sure there used to be a dessert in the 90s like angel delight with a crumble topping.

Strong agree. To be fair, I'm mainly interested in the crumble. Wouldn't be hugely disappointed to find there was no fruit.

I make my own crumble. Mainly apple. The dish i use is oval. So use six apples and yes cheat a crumble topping. The fruit is less than the recommended to use on crumble topping packet. Yet find I like better ?

My O/H didn't have a clue how to make the crumble, horribly oaty.

Sadly neither do I.

My standard dessert ingredient is broken up Ginger Nuts soaked in brandy but that is another story.

I've always just desired someone makes a cruble cruble. No fruit, just a cruble containing more cruble under the cruble served with hot custard. That would be perfect thank you.

Just a basic apple crumble for me, apples a little sour but with lots of sweet crumble topping.

Served hot with custard or even vanilla ice cream.

I really want to make one now.

Gotta be a good thick layer of crumble, but also a decent amount of filling. So I’d say about 40/60 ratio fruit/crumble

I have been known to make a double amount of crumble mix to remedy this

I'd say 60% fruit to 40% crumble works best. With custard.

But if it's something like gooseberry then the fruit squishes down anyway so it's more like 50/50 by the time you eat it

Gooseberry crumble?

Sorry I had all the asbestos linings removed from my mouth back in the 80’s so I cannot eat gooseberry’s any more

Rhubarb makes a great crumble. The contrast is what makes it. Other fruits can make everything just too sweet.

I love crumble - Rhubarb / Apple / Apple & Blackberry / Peach & Apricot / Plum

NOT Gooseberry - bloody evil things!

Plenty of crumble, no oats! But sprinkled with flaked toasted almonds
