Hello

I need cheering up; anyone got some feel good film recommendations? Or psychological horror films (lol the contrast of both)

Preferably on Disney+ or Prime as I don’t have Netflix

Thank you

Tinder Swindler is on Netflix, Op said they didn’t have that streaming site.

TV series on Prime The Boys

Films, they recently put on Pitch Black, very good sci fi horror.

Bone Tomahawk

If you want a romantic film

The Big Sick, true story of how the protagonists of the film got together.

And the sequel…The Chronicles of Riddick (admittedly totally different from the first film)

187 on prime.. A great Samuel L Jackson school drama.

Don't watch any trailers as it will spoil.

Top suggestion

Will also throw in Love & Mercy, the biopic of Brian Wilson of the Beach Boys

Also, if you can find it, The Sultan Sea. Can’t remember bugger all about it other than it being a good film- it sprang to mind after the last thread like this

Palm Springs is also a good film. Not psychological horror, but I enjoyed it

Not so sure about the psychological horror films but on the feel-good films i’d say:

1) 500 Days of Summer (can never go wrong)

2) Collateral Beauty

3) The Big Sick

Hey Anniebel.

So this is kind of psychological horror. Nah, not even kind of - The Invisible Man is on Netflix. Very much fits that.

There's also The Night House, admittedly a bit of a slow burner but it really does delve quite deep in to that area.

And because Park Chan-Wook directed it (gives you an idea of what it will be like), Stoker. Not very well known but incredible.

In terms of feel good... another shout for 500 Days of Summer. Although it's an almost poignant happy.

Oh ignore The Invisible Man!

I'm going to swap it for Fresh. It's truly something else, and is on Disney+.

"Anyone have any naughty film recommendations?

You made it through the second 365 Days film?! We got so bored we switched it off after half an hour! Even the sex couldn’t save that film!

If you mean naughty as in just lots of sex, we can’t help. But if you mean naughty with a story:

Blue is the Warmest Colour - it’s so much more than the sex scene that everyone goes on about.

Nymphomaniac - the directors cut. 5 and something hours long.

Eyes Wide Shut - brilliant psychological film, with a very naked house party.

All About Anna - real sex, good story. Difficult to find though. We had to import the DVD from Europe.

9 Songs - pretty crap story (if you can even call it that…) but plenty of very real, very explicit sex.

Baise Moi - not for the faint hearted. Real sex with vengeance.
