Did you look your worst?

When you look through the photo album, at what point do you cringe?

I'm going to avoid my childhood as the choice of clothes and haircut I blame firmly on my mother, along with the fact that the early 90s we're not kind to anyone fashion wise.

But I think I looked pretty awful around the age of 18. Very short, bleached blonde hair, which honestly did not suit me. A pretty rubbish choice of clothes as I really hadn't worked out what made me look good. Still spotty. Plus I weighed more than I ever have outside of being pregnant.

How about you, and why?

Around 26.

I was a lot bigger than I am now and its only by looking at the photos I realise how big I was.

Wherever

2014-2017. I just gave birth to my youngest son and had clinical postnatal depression.

Much better now and forever thankful for support I was given.

Late 20’s just after I had my daughter. I had no idea how to dress for my new larger figure, basically tried to be invisible, stupidly thought a short haircut would be easier to manage with a newborn - I was so wrong both style and time wise!

Teenager. I was a typical sporty tomboy in trackies

I blossomed at 18 and and found my club babe years and swapped those trackies for hotpants

Probably when I was a young child I don't know what my mother was thinking dressing me in awful clothes

Probably about 14 when I had an unfortunate (and thankfully short-lived) experiment with curtains.

Probably when I was about 9. Baggy clothes, bowl cut hair, Total 90 trainers. Typical kid's fashion

Basically 18-41 was a write off for looking good. Since then I’ve found my identity/look/body

When I was about 23. I put on loads of weight after a bad breakup and hated the way I looked.

I look after myself a bit more these days and I think I look alright now.

You’re like the male version of JAG. Only she’s cut a cracking butt no matter what she says…

Be kind to yourself dude. And your butt.

Pretty much 0 to 42 years old and hear me out now…it’s not a looking for compliments thing. I just genuinely rarely think I ever look good especially in photos. Maybe it’s a childhood of bullying that’s made my brain think that way…I dunno. Brains are stupid like that. Anyway I just don’t think of myself as anything but fairly ordinary and no more attractive than the next person. I’m ok with that because if people like me, they like me however I look (or think I look) and if they don’t then ah well their loss right?

26ish, died my hair dark and looked like one of those angry women that has a big dog that shits all over the yard, tries to fight their neighbours and has loads of kids with no teeth. I looked so bloody miserable too and I really was.

Now.

I'd say 17-30 was my best.

It kinda started going down hill mid 30's.

Hand on heart, there is no photos of me from last few years. Apart from the ones on here, which I always end up deleting anyway.

20, I decided to colour my hair red. Why oh why did I do that. There is still a family picture that exists with me like that. I look like a startled Weasley boy.
