Well we have seen loads of threads about people getting blocked for politely saying no thanks ... and guess what, yep it's our turn. We even got some "advice" about updating our profile lol ... Maybe we should just be plain rude when saying no, but that's just not us .... cest la vie

A world of my own

Luckily I only ever had abuse from 2 single guys when I first joined fab when I said a very polite thanks but no thanks (I am always polite in my messages to anyone unless they then really start to annoy me).Since then most people have replied back with a 'Thanks for taking the time to reply'

I had a nice gentleman who messaged me back after I politely declined him to ask if he could block me so that he does not make the mistake of contacting me again. Bless him! He made sure I am not interested and not just because my plate was full first as well. So sweet and considerate!

I have to confess that I block people if I've been unsuccessful with a mail to them. It's usually met with deafening silence, but very occasionally I get a "thanks but no thanks".

However, in all cases I block the people concerned simply so that I don't bother them again.
