Just a tip from those struggling to lose a few pounds.

Eat less.

Donate your typical excess to a local homeless charity.

I'm fat and nope took no offense to the fact I should eat less to loose weight. I mean that is scientific facts speaking.

What I take offense to is the suggestion, that as a fat person I'm so glutenous that I'm taking food from others. I'm sure you spend money in some way shape or form that's wasteful, go guilt yourself for it not others.

Not completely true water alone is quite dangerous for re-hydration

Electrolyte replacement is required for proper hydration

For someone who really doesn't have a tremendous amount to say, he's sure talking a lot.

How about we all just agree to probably speak to our respective health care professionals for advice on weight loss, and with our own conscience for what if any charitable actions would be most pertinent to our lives and situations, and not guys itching for a fight on a sex site.

I'm off to eat a cornetto, and renew my National Trust.

No, someone qualified such as a dietitian can absolutely give advice. You’re a PT, you don’t have qualifications in nutrition. (I’m also a trained PT)

Your “advice” was condescending, un informative and unhelpful to those who may need help with weight management.

Eating less doesn’t actually make you loose weight. Everyone “says” eat less, sallee portions etc. it’s all BS.

Eat more! More of the better things, if you eat meat, make sure it’s lean, beef mince? No more than 5% fat on it. Chicken & turkey are both low fat. Also fish, if you like it.

Veg, most veg has a high fibre count, carrots, cabbage, cauliflower, broccoli, green/fine/French beans, peas in the pod, mange tout, etc….

Pasta/potatoes etc, keep to a minimum but baked potatoes are always good and filling

You can get “diet plates” that are sectioned up as half veg, a quarter for meat and a quarter for pasta/rice etc

I think when people say eat less, they mean calories

You mean eat more, as in eating more healthy, low calorie, nutrient dense foods.

I think your initial post came across as being condescending. Perhaps that wasn't the intention.

That's because of something called negative bias

They take it personally

Actually I think it was more to do with stating the bleeding obvious than any sort of bias

No junk only whole foods

Can you make some smoothie lollipops? Used to make them with the kids they were rather nice.

Too much sugar.

I remember when I was on keto my ice lollies were just frozen sugar free squash

You can't make ones with natural Greek yougurt and a few crushed raspberries or strawberries? Or is that still too much sugar? "

Fuck that’s a good idea

My go to snack when dieting is 500g fat free greek yogurt + 400g frozen blueberries in a huge bowl. Then use a mixer to smoosh it all up until it makes a creamy ice creamy blueberry mix slush thingy

Why didn’t I think then of using that to make lollies

Thanks

Yeah that's a good shout. Honestly it's not that much of an issue in my life haha, except for when people mention Cornettos and magnums

I've actually just remembered there's mini Magnums in my freezer now! Must. Stay. Strong. "

--- Hey 'top tip'! Do you write for Viz lol?

And 'all else' this guy has to say is that he loves eating pussy!!

'Dietary advice' suggests this is about what you eat. To just say "eat less" is about as clever as telling someone to go out jogging before they've got some control of their appetite and how it works (thyroidal, or whatever).

But you do live in a simple world don't you sweetie x --pt

While your comment of "eat less" is both trite and not helpful, your suggestion that people should buy the same amount of food they would if they weren't trying to lose weight then give a portion of it away is a bit ridiculous.

Can you clarify what excess we should donate?

Excess clothes weigh a few pounds so possibly those?

How do you determine excess food?

If we don't cook it first it's not excess but could be our next meal.

If it's already cooked and we box up what isn't eaten and donate that will it not go straight in the bin like so many other donations have done in the last few years as the charities don't have the facility to reheat, cook or even store so much of the food that is donated?

The foodbanks generally won't take fresh food because they can't store it.

The charity, FareShare, will take surplus food and distribute it to schools, lunch clubs, homeless shelters
