I’ve had one or two completely disappear when sent to profiles that are still active. No sign of a deleted message in my outbox and no block or anything similar. Been wondering about this

If messages are left unread for 21 days they automatically get deleted

I don’t think so I think if you try and message them you get a message saying user has blocked you
